Calla Coastal Gold is an upright rhizomatous plant with tropical looking spotted foliage and deep yellow blooms. Do not put outside until all danger of frost is well past.
Primarily used in containers and planters. A sheltered location away from wind is preferred. Often used as a cut flower.
Soil should be well drained. Provide regular plentiful water. Callas are not heavy feeders so require a flowering plant fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season. After the flowers have faded remove the flower stems. Keep plant moist. Toward the end of the summer begin to cut back on the water to encourage the foliage to die back and go into dormancy. Divide rhizome clumps in late summer. Calla rhizomes can be wintered over or treated as annuals.
