Hardy, mound of large, gold-yellow to bright green leaflets accented by russet stems. Tall spikes with racemes of tiny white flowers in late summer followed by black ornamental berries. Best foliage colour in full sun. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Purplish black berries are INEDIBLE.
Prefers a fertile, loamy soil. Fertilize with an all purpose tree and shrub fertilizer as growth begins in spring. If planting in sun, make sure that you water regularly.
This shrub typically dies back in the winter and re-emerges in the spring to form a nice, uniform clump.
